Allport Cargo Services and Intercombi Announce New Partnership on UK/Turkey Trade Lane

Allport Cargo Services and Intercombi (part of NetLog Logistics Group) are delighted to announce they have agreed a new long-term partnership on the UK/Turkey trade lane covering all transport modes: overland, intermodal, sea and air. The combination of Allport Cargo Services’ industry-leading supply chain management expertise, together with Netlog/Intercombi’s intermodal and logistics capabilities, and combined over 50 years’ experience in the UK/Turkey trade lane creates a unique service combination for customers. Both companies have leading positions in their home markets and significant investments overseas. The new partnership will provide market leading solutions for customers between Turkey and the U.K. and takes effect immediately.

Allport Cargo Services has built a market leading position with their previous partner the Ulusoy Group over many years on the UK/Turkey trade lane, however as part of a strategic review the Ulusoy Group decided to exit international transport and focus on other areas of their business, and thus a new partnership of like-minded companies was born.

Charles McGurin, Group CEO of Allport Cargo Services, thanked Ulusoy for their long partnership and welcomed Netlog/Intercombi to a new partnership. Charles said, “Allport Cargo Services has a reputation built on a passion for service and making our customers’ lives simpler. We believe that in choosing Netlog/Intercombi we are partnering with a dynamic international group that shares these same virtues and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Gokalp Cak, Group Vice president of Netlog, said that the Netlog Logistics Group were delighted to partner with Allport Cargo Services. “Both our companies are focused on providing one-stop shop logistics services and this is another step in Netlog’s transition from being the lead local logistics player to becoming the leading regional logistics services provider.”
