Dawn Rasmussen, Programme Director at ACS, has been recognized as an  inspirational leader  in the UK’s transport and logistics industry and nominated at the 2017 FTA Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.

A logistics industry expert with more than 15 years’ experience in executive and senior management roles, Dawn has led major multi-modal operations at multiple firms, grown, created and advised on commercial strategies and transformed logistics companies.  Before joining ACS, Dawn held several senior management positions, filling executive roles across the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the FTA everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards were first established to highlight the work of women excelling in their careers, creating visible role models to inspire a next generation of much-needed talent to follow in their footsteps. Ten years later, the UK government is still addressing a skills shortage in key areas such as engineering, construction and project management.    Dawn’s achievements have been recognised with her nomination in the Leader category of The Supply Chain Award, designed to honour a woman who is improving processes within her company’s supply chain.

Clyde Buntrock, Vice President at ACS commented “On behalf of everyone at Allport Cargo Services, I’d like to congratulate Dawn on her much deserved nomination. Over the past two years Dawn’s work has resulted in the overhauling of all our operational processes and the majority of our internal systems, and we are now in the final stages of rollout across our UK and European offices. Winning this award would be a fitting tribute to the excellent job Dawn has done since she joined us and I’d like to wish her the best of luck.”
