Allport & Sainsbury’s rewarded for supply chain excellence

Supply Chain & Freight forwarding company, Allport Cargo Services and leading supermarket chain, Sainsbury’s, have been named winners of the Logistics & Distribution accolade at the 2014 European Supply Chain Excellence Awards, in association with PWC.

ACS and Sainsbury’s’ joint logistics strategy was commended by the judging panel, which also highlighted the two organisations’ collective efforts to improve operational efficiency.

The award was presented at the Supply Chain Standard’s 18th annual awards
ceremony on 5th November at the London Hilton on Park Lane in front of an audience of leading supply chain and logistic directors from across Europe.
