Haze Situation in Singapore

Update from ACS Singapore: In recent days, due to continuing forest fires in neighbouring Indonesia, we have been experiencing hazardous air quality with the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reaching a record high of 400 at 11am on Friday.

This is the worst environmental crisis faced in Singapore, and the haze condition is expected to last for the next few weeks.

The National Environment Agency (NEA) has asked the general population to keep physical exertion and outdoor activity to as low a level as possible and, whilst no stop work order has been issued by the Singapore authorities, we have noticed that there has been an increase in staff feeling ill.

As per guidelines provided by the Ministry of Manpower (Singapore), we have issued protective masks and eye drops to all employees, while managers and supervisors are monitoring team members for any symptoms of breathlessness, excessive eye watering or chest pains.
