Our job-related training programmes begin with induction, moving through supervisor, manager and advanced strategic planning for senior management phases. Accredited by the CILT for its Academy scheme Allport Cargo Services has “one of the most comprehensive training packages on offer in the forwarding industry.

Jerry Gray

Jerry joined Allport Cargo Services in 1975 and has held many roles, in the UK and overseas. Following the recent merger with Cargo Services Jerry has been appointed  Group Managing Director.

Danny Clayton

Danny is the driving force behind Supply Chain Management having initiated the Division in the early 1990’s. With over 30 years experience in the company, including placements in Hong Kong, Mauritius and the USA, Danny has a wide ranging knowledge of all aspects of the forwarding and logistics industry.

Will Toye

Co-founder of Allport Will has been at the centre of the business since. His ground-breaking work in China included the launch of Cargo Services twenty years ago, which culminated in the businesses merging to form Allport Cargo Services in 2010.

Danny Toye

Joining his brother Will and co-founder John Clayton shortly after the business’ foundation, Danny has held a wide variety of roles. Necessarily hands on in the early days, he subsequently held a variety of senior roles, culminating in joint responsibility for the Allport group. Overseeing the merger with Cargo Services, Danny relinquished control in 2011, to take on a non-executive role.

Glen Nichol

A fellow of the institute of chartered accountants, Glen has been the senior financial executive at Allport Cargo Services for 25years. Supported by a great team of finance professionals, Glen is responsible for the ‘numeric affairs’ of the group worldwide.

Ian’s blend of technical and strategic capability is rare. As is his experience with established and appreciation of emerging technologies. Ian will play a key role in keeping Allport Cargo Services use of technology at the forefront of the industry.

Jamie Whyte

A gifted academic, with experience at the highest commercial levels, Jamie is also a keen sprint cyclist and has an equally quick and agile mind: Well suited to juggling the resources of his Hi-Tech logistics division, to meet the demands of leading computing, optical and medical manufacturers.

John Williams

After 20 years in the shipping industry living and working all over the world, John joined Allport in 2007. He has expanded the scope of the Overland division, moving into new markets and increasing services available to customers

Kevin Witmore

A stalwart of Allport Cargo Services, Kevin’s  experience in all aspects of freight operation – particularly sea freight is un-paralleled. Kevin’s commercial knowledge, strategic insight and a passion for customers and staff is the paradigm most senior management strive for.
