Allport Cargo Services Acquires ECT

Allport Cargo Services is pleased to advise that the company has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100% of ECT, a long-term forwarding partner of Cargo Services in France and member of Far East Cargo Line (our NVOCC). The transaction is due to complete by the end of June, and includes all the companies within the ECT group.

The joint venture will provide complete end-to-end logistics, using proprietary technology to deliver unique reverse logistics solutions for retailers, and will complement Allport Cargo Services’ existing supply chain and logistics offerings.

Senior supply chain executives from leading retailers including Asda, Debenhams, Pets at Home, Boots, Karen Millen, attended the executive briefing, which had a particular focus on the potential and challenges to growth in South East Asia and the implications and benefits of a great returns logistics strategy on customer experience.
