On Friday 12th January, ACS hosted a delegation from the Netherlands London Embassy, which included Ambassador Simon Smits.
The objective was to brainstorm the consequences of Brexit and this visit looked at the possible implications for retailers, the freight industry, European borders and customs regimes. The delegation learnt about ACS’s role in the supply chain from Vice President Clyde Buntrock and Air Freight Managing Director, Steve Williams followed by a tour of the ACS Heathrow facility. Ian Moran, ACS Customs and Trade Solutions Manager covered the potential customs consequences of a hard or soft Brexit and how they might affect ACS and its clients. The delegation from the Dutch Embassy also included Nanja Piek, Head of Economic Section; Matthijs Houet, Commercial Attaché and Martijn Bergman, Agricultural Adviser.
