Motorsport fans will be excited to learn that ACS is sponsoring Theo Coicaud, who has joined the German Auto Racing Team: Liqui Moly Team Engstler for the first time for the 2018 season. Theo is the son of the late Eric Coicaud, the founder of ACS France.
Touring car racing features heavily modified road-going cars; whilst not as fast as Formula One, the fact that the cars are recognisable as road-going vehicles means that the races are both entertaining and well-supported.
After several years of karting, Theo has been racing cars since 2015. In 2016 he finished 7th the French F4 Championship; and after this he moved on to join R-Ace GP to take part in the Formula Renault NEC.
This year, Theo transferred to the touring car racing circuit with Liqui Moly Team Engstler on the ADAC TCR Germany circuit
The 2018 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship is now in its third season of touring car racing and is run by German-based ADAC to TCR regulations. The popular series runs predominately in ADAC’s home nation Germany but as a category of the ADAC GT Masters series, the championship also encompasses races in: Austria, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
The TCR Germany series consists of seven events, starting at Oschersleben in April and finishing at the Hockenheimring in September.
April 15th Oschersleben, Germany
April 29th Most, Czech Republic
June 10th Spielberg, Austria
August 5th Nürburgring, Germany
August 19th Zandvoort, The Netherlands
September 9th Sachsenring, Germany
September 23rd Hockenheimring, Germany
Aicha Demarest – General Manager ACS France commented:
“ACS France have been connected with Theo Coicaud’s sponsorship for a long time and we watched him grow within the motorsport arena. For us to see him carrying our brand into Germany / Austria and the Czech Republic is very exciting and will give us the opportunity to introduce ACS to these new regions in Europe.”
If you’re going along – please look out for Theo and support him!
